Militia papers, 1803-1814.

One document is John Seizer's 5 May 1803 appointment as ensign in the Virginia militia, 13th regiment, 1st brigade, 2nd division, signed by John Guerrant, Jr., Lieutenant Governor. On the reverse is a notice by Anthony New that Seizer qualified on 13 October 1803. The second document is a muster roll of Captain John Sizer's Company, 30th regiment, Virginia militia, Caroline County, 16 June 1814.
